Make Strides Towards The Cures



Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program that prepares people to experience a natural wonder in a special way.



While I'm training, I am raising funds to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope and support.



I have been aware of Leukemia since I was quite young. Growing up outside of Chicago, our neighbor Ben had Leukemia. Ben was a couple of years older than me, and hung out with my sister. I seem to recall they had their whole lives planned out as a couple of young kids often do. The problem was a four year old (me) wanted to hang out with them as well and that sometimes became problematic. Unfortunately Ben left this world at a young age but when the discussion of the LLS brought up it is one of the things which come to mind.



As I am training if you are able to support my participation in Hike For Discovery with a tax-deductible donation to the LLS and help advance the mission of the society to help those already diagnosed and prevent more from being added to the numbers in the future.
