Make Strides Toward The Cure

Welcome to my Hike For Discovery home page!



Hike For Discovery is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's adventure fundraising program that prepares people to experience a natural wonder in a special way.



Hike for Discovery is a nonprofit fundraising program that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization working to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. I am supporting the Society by participating in Hike for Discovery’s Great Smoky Mountains adventure set for September 27-30, 2008.



For the next three months I will be training, hiking miles and miles throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts, rain or shine, for our Tennessee adventure. I am planning to do a lot more than train for our September hike, however. In order to participate in the Smoky Mountain event, I have committed to meet the fundraising minimum of $3,900.



I will be raising these funds to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma. More than 712,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. Your support of my participation in Hike For Discovery will help bring them hope and support.
